According to New York City records, the median price for an apartment in Manhattan for the month of July 2023 was $1,125,000. The price represents a minimal increase from the median price of $1,119,500 recorded in July 2022. The number of apartment sales, however, fell from 1,297 to 1,025 reflecting a year-over-year decrease of 21%.
July represents the ninth consecutive month that the volume of year-over-year sales have dipped in the borough.
