According to New York City records, the median price for an apartment in Manhattan for the month of March 2023 was $1,150,000.  The price represents an increase of 2.2% from the median price of $1,125,000 recorded in March 2022. The number of apartment sales, however, dropped dramatically from 1237 to 873 reflecting a year-over-year decrease of 29.4%.  

March represents the sixth consecutive month that the volume of year-over-year sales have dipped in the borough.

What exactly does $1.150 million get you in Manhattan?  Let’s take a closer look.

Apartment 8-F at 467 Central Park West (aka The Warner) is a spacious two-bedroom prewar condominium located within the Manhattan Valley neighborhood of the Upper West Side.

Apartment 8-F at 467 Central Park West was first listed in April 2022 for $1.325  million.  The closing price of $1.15 million represents a 13% drop from the original ask.
